Jenshel, Len

Len Jenshel has collaborated with his wife, Diane Cook, for almost twenty years; their projects are marked by the juxtaposition of black and white prints by Cook with color images by Jenshel. Specializing in landscapes and environmental photography, Jenshel has led the charge for color photography as a legitimate art form in galleries and museums around the world.

Jenshel’s projects range from an exhibition and book about volcanos and their surrounding landscapes, entitled “Hot Spots,” to “Aquarium,” an exhibition examining the way that nature is “marketed” in public spheres. In addition to pursuing his own interests, Jenshel also shoots for National Geographic, House & Garden, Fortune, Town & Country and Men’s Journal, to name a few.
