Man Ray: A Surreal Vision

An Artistic Pioneer

Man Ray: A Surreal Vision

Opening March 7, 2014, this is a spectacular collection of innovative photography.  This exhibit includes a wide assortment of solarized photogravures and photograms.  Solarization is a process in which a photograph is exposed to light during development and then is permitted to continue processing.  The effect is a reversal of tonality in which the image appears to revert to its negative state.  A photogram is created by placing objects on photographic sensitive material and then exposing it to light. This procedure mainly records the outline of an object, producing an image consisting of mostly black and white.  If the object used is somewhat or totally transparent, the resulting print will appear in shades of gray.

Man Ray was a individual ahead of his time, a true pioneer.  Visit our gallery today to see the works of an artist also known as Emmanuel Radnitzky.  You will be inspired!
